Chilax Body Therapy has supported NDIS participants in Darwin for eight years. Our Australian-qualified remedial massage therapists work within an allied health framework to help participants manage pain, reduce muscle tension, improve mobility and support daily function, in line with the goals set out in your NDIS plan. We are located at 59 Smith Street in the Darwin CBD, with accessible ground-floor treatment rooms and appointments available seven days a week.
How NDIS funding works for massage therapy
Remedial massage may be funded under your NDIS plan where it relates to your disability and supports your plan goals, typically under Capacity Building, Improved Health and Wellbeing or Improved Daily Living. If you are self-managed or plan-managed, you can book directly with us and we will provide itemised invoices for your plan manager or for your own claims. If you are unsure whether your plan covers massage therapy, contact us, or check with your support coordinator or plan manager.
Frequently asked questions
Does Chilax Body Therapy accept NDIS participants?
Yes. We have worked with NDIS participants for eight years and understand the documentation, invoicing and reporting that plan managers require.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is required to book. However, having massage therapy recommended by your GP, physiotherapist or occupational therapist can help support funding under your plan.
Can you invoice my plan manager directly?
Yes. We provide compliant itemised invoices and can send them directly to your plan manager.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring your NDIS participant number and your plan manager’s invoicing details if you are plan-managed. Your therapist will also do a short intake to understand your goals, any conditions, and areas to focus on or avoid.
How do I book?
Book online at chilaxdarwin.com.au, or call or message us and we will find a time that suits you and your support worker if one attends with you.
